Facebook has also reportedly tried to improve its feed by paying people to answer questions and write about their emotions toward stories, according to a Backchannel story in 2015.So how do you get wha t you want out of your feed?How to filter what you do and dont seeFacebook says you have the option to adjust your settingsto make changes.To see your News Feed settings, go to Facebook and click on the down arrow symbol on the top right of the screen, then click on News Feed Preferences.From there, you can unfollow a person, group, or page to hide its content - once at the page or profile, scroll over Following, and click Unfollow (for a profile) or Unfollow this Page. You wont see any content in your feed from sources you unfollow.You can also hide individual pieces of material to make them disappear from your News Feed by clicking the down arrow symbol and hitting Hide. You will seeless from the source once you hit See less from name.Users can also report contentby clicking Report by the material in various ways, depending on the type.You can customize which posts appear at the top without the source knowing (30 people or pages at most, unranked). When on a profile of page, hit follow by the titelseite photo if you dont do so currently, then scroll over liked or following near the same image, and hit see first. Users can also do this from their News Feed preferences.The website further points out that this is not the same as close friends - you can choose to make people close friends and see every time they post something new.If youve hidden or unfollowed someone or something on Facebook but now changed your mind about seeing fewer of their contributions or not wanting to see them at all,what can you do?Just follow them again, and they wont even know about it- this can be done on Pages, peoples profiles and from News Feed Preferences.Its up to you to take controlIts clear that Facebook has the capacity to both educate and distract, but you can make an effort to see material from sources youre interested in more often by taking these few easy steps.

A hard-driving, aggressive organization thats big on face time will probably have a different policy than a family-oriented organization or one that prides itself on workplace flexibility.Keep your Entire Workforce in MindOn the other hand, adds Krugel, if you have a diverse workforce that works in a variety of areas, a one-size-fits-all policy probably isnt appropriate.Cathy Ramos, human resources manager for LASIO Inc., agrees. She recommends keeping in mind logistics that employees may be dealing with, such as travel distance, method of travel and caregiving responsibilities. Keep in mind workplace flexibili ty.Include a clear plan of action that takes into consideration business needs, but most importantly, employee safety, she says.Define Bad WeatherDetermine what the cutoff for your organization will be. Is it a certain amount of snow, is it when city officials announce unsafe travel conditions or is it when city schools are closed? Ramos says.Have a Plan of ActionBe explicit in your weather policy and include expectations about what employees should do in different scenarios, Ramos says.Bad-weather policies should include what is expected from an employee in case bad weather results in unsafe travel conditions or school closures, which often impacts employee attendance. It should allot for work that can be completed from home and clearly communicate when an employee can expect to receive an email or phone call on business closure.Most importantly, it should clearly lay out the roles and responsibility of the people who prepare the company for bad weather, which would include notifyi ng employees, setting up automated messages, alerting customers and establishing virtual access to the office, she says.Put Safety FirstCarney recommends managers be flexible with arrival times when the weather is bad and encourage safe driving among employees. Allow working from home as an vorkaufsrecht if weather is severe, and keep office morale high by offering a relaxed dress code policy, he says.
